How are you today? I hope all of you guys still healthy in every single day. So today we will continue our discuss about Procedure Text. So, let's getting started! 

Procedure Text

For those of you who haven't read my blog last week, I will repeat the explanation about the procedure text. Same as before, procedure text is a text that explains how to make or do something that readers can follow. This text aims to guide readers to get what is expected according to the intent of each text. The text and the readers usually have one common goal. For the example, if the text wants to tell how to change a car tire, the readers mostly also wants to do same as the text. That's it.

The Structure of Procedure Text :

  1. Goal
  2. Materials
  3. Steps
  4. Result
The Characteristics :
  1. Using simple present tense
  2. Using imperative text
  3. Using actions verbs
  4. Using numbering
  5. Using conjunction
  6. Using Adverbs

How To Change A Car Tire

Changing tires should be mastered by every car driver. because, sometimes there are emergency things that happen when we drive such as a flat tire, a leaking tire and even a burst tire. To change a tire, you will need a spare tire, tools, jack and safety triangle. Therefore, here's how to change tires on a car.
  1. Find a safe and flat location to change tires. After it feels safe enough, turn off the car engine and position the transmission on P (matic) or R (Manual) and turn on parking brake/ hand brake
  2. Set the safety triangle behind the car
  3. Get jacks and other tools
  4. Take the spare tire
  5. Position the jack head with the fulcrum and turn the jack until the tire lifts. To determine the fulcrum, you can read the manual of your car. Avoid installing the jack on soft ground
  6. Unscrew all the bolts on the tire you want to replace
  7. Remove the tire and replace it with a spare tire. Re-tighten the bolt on the spare tire
  8. If you feel that the tire is installed perfectly, lower the jack slowly by turning it until the tire hits the ground
  9. Put tires and tools back. Don't forget to take back the safety triangle behind the car
  10. You can continue your driving
If you follow the steps properly, you will be able to change your own car tires. Don't forget to always check the condition of your vehicle to avoid unwanted things. Keep driving safe!
